(Pierre, SD) — South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley outlines his agenda for the 2026 legislative session. Jackley says he wants stiffer penalties for offenders who sell drugs in prison, create deepfake pornography, and perform internet crimes. He proposed ten bills for the upcoming session that begins Tuesday in Pierre. Several lawmakers have endorsed Jackley’s package of proposals while others have proposed tweaks. Jackley is serving his second term as state attorney general after being elected in 2022.
