(Sioux Falls, SD) — District 15 lawmakers host a town hall in preparation for the new legislative session. State Senator Jamie Smith and Representatives Kadyn Wittman and Erik Muckey were in Sioux Falls discussing several topics on the agenda in Pierre this year. Instituting a free school lunch program was a hot topic for constituents. Wittman said a bill would force the state to cover meals for families that are between 130 to 185 percent of the federal poverty line. The new legislative session starts Tuesday with Governor Larry Rhoden’s State of the State address.
