(Grand Forks, ND) — A 17-year-old teenager is facing a decade in prison after sentencing on Monday. Judge Ted Sandberg issued the sentence to Mason Allery for firing over a dozen shots into a car filled with teenagers last year. He pleaded guilty to five counts of attempted murder. Investigators discovered messages from Allery saying he was maced and would seek revenge on the people who did it to him. Sandberg said his actions were performed out of a culture of “fake gangster nonsense” and is forcing Allery to earn his high school diploma while in prison.
