(Pierre, SD) — Governor Larry Rhoden is highlighting property taxes during his State of the State address. He delivered the speech at the State Capitol on Tuesday saying Clay, Union and Turner Counties were the most hard hit by property tax increases. Health care also took center stage in the address. Rhoden said the state was awarded 189-million dollars in federal funding for a five-year plan aimed to strengthen health care access in rural areas. He also said he wants to stop abortion pills from becoming available in the state.
