(Bismarck, ND) — The North Dakota Health and Human Services Department is offering to pay student loans for doctors. The state is also opening the program for nurses and other health professionals to bring more services to rural counties. NDHHS says three out of four rural counties don’t have enough primary car providers. NDHHS says 155 providers used the program last year. They’re accepting applications through February 28th.
