(Big Stone City, SD) — Two individuals are safe after escaping their truck that fell through ice on Big Stone Lake. The incident happened around 7:00 a.m. on Saturday morning about eleven miles north of Big Stone City. The two individuals said they drove over a pocket that was capped over and couldn’t see it. All fish house rentals in the area are canceled through January 25th to allow the lake to freeze over.
