(Rapid City, SD) — Rapid City leaders are requesting donations of unused cell phones to help violent crime victims. Donations can be placed at several city and county buildings in Rapid City, including City Hall. Officials say the phones will be refurbished and data will be erased before they’re distributed to victims. The drive is being sponsored by the Pennington County Sheriff’s Office Victim Specialists. The drive ends in late January.
