State Dismisses Sioux Falls Murder Case, Could Refile Charges

court news

(Sioux Falls, SD) — Sioux Falls prosecutors say they need more time to locate witnesses in a murder trial. Jordan Adams was set to go on trial Tuesday but the state dismissed charges after a judge denied a request to delay the start. Court documents say officers found a man dead with five stab wounds near the intersection of 41st Street and Marion Road on April 4th. Officers allege Adams was found nearby with “blood all over him” and at least two witnesses say they saw Adams lunging at the victim and stabbing him. The case was dismissed without prejudice, meaning charges could be refiled. Adams remains in jail for drug charges in a separate case.
