(Sioux Falls, SD) — A Minnehaha County jury is saying a man is guilty of sexually abusing a girl for 12 years. Leon Siess was convicted on seven counts of rape, two counts of sexual contact with a child and one count of first degree human trafficking. Evidence showed Siess started abusing a victim when she was ten years old and continued abusing her until she was 22 years old and in college. It’s believed Siess trafficked the girl to men in Sioux Falls via ads on Craigslist. The victim said during testimony she stayed silent for years to protect her younger sisters for the same abuse.
