(Pierre, SD) — Attorney General Marty Jackley says his proposed 41-point-seven-million-dollar budget protects South Dakotans. Jackley proposed the budget to the state’s Legislative Appropriations Committee late last week. He said most of the proposals in the budget include funding to fight crime. Some of the notable inclusions allocate money to fight internet crimes against children, hire a special projects coordinator and hire a new legal assistant. A final budget will be made by the committee later this year and then sent to Governor Larry Rhoden for approval.
