(Rapid City, SD) — Lawyers in the trial for NDN Collective Founder and CEO Nick Tilsen are focusing on intent. Day two of the trial started on Tuesday with lawyers on both side interpreting Tilsen’s actions during a pedestrian stop in June of 2022. Tilsen’s family member was being detained when prosecutors say he drove up in a red pickup truck and tried to hit officer Nicholas Glass. Tilsen’s lawyers argue he was just trying to park his truck and make sure his relative was not being harassed. Tilsen faces three charges including assault and obstruction of a police officer and could serve up to 26 years in prison if convicted.
