(Minot, ND) — A Minot man is facing charges for manslaughter in the death of a six-year-old girl. Prosecutors say her death was caused in part by injuries he inflicted on her as a baby. Matthew Zappone was arrested and charged with five felonies, including manslaughter, aggravated assault, negligent homicide, assault and reckless endangerment. He previously was sentenced to five years in prison and served three of them for an assault conviction against the girl, who was his daughter. He’s scheduled to appear in court on February 3rd.
