(Bismarck, ND) — North Dakota House Majority Leader Mike Lefor is planning to retire in November. Lefor was first elected to the state legislature in 2014 and rose to majority leader in 2023. His career in public service spans more than 40 years as a member of the Dickinson Park Board, City Commission, Planning and Zoning Board and several hospital boards. Lefor will serve out the end of his term. He represents District 37 in southwest North Dakota.
