South Dakota Politicians Weigh In On HSS Kristi Noem

(Pierre, SD) — South Dakota politicians are weighing in as former Governor Kristi Noem finds herself in hot water. Democratic candidate for Senate Julian Beaudion says Noem is not fulfilling her role as Homeland Security Secretary and is actually doing the opposite. Most of the other commentary from candidates around the state fall along party lines. An effort to impeach Noem is gaining steam in the House while Democrats in the Senate are threatening a government shutdown over funding to her Department of Homeland Security. It comes after two Minneapolis protesters were shot and killed by ICE agents since the start of the new year.
