(Minot, ND) — The Norsk Hostfest Association Board of Directors are canceling their 2026 festival. Organizers of the Scandinavian heritage festival said on social media the event has become “financially unsustainable” due to rising costs and declining attendance. The event has been running since 1978 for people who wanted to celebrate Nordic heritage. In the past, Scandinavian celebrities and even the Norwegian royal family have attended the event. Visit Minot says ending the festival will have a negative economic impact on the city.
