Minot Parks Sales Tax Proposal Approved For Ballot

(Minot, ND) — The Minot City Council is approving an ordinance for a half-cent sales tax. The tax will benefit the Minot Parks Department for facility maintenance and improvement projects. The proposal passed in a six-to-one vote by the council on Monday. Last year, a similar bill went to the voters and failed. Another difference with the new tax proposal is that it no longer includes funding construction of a new indoor fieldhouse.
