(West Fargo, ND) — A former church business manager in West Fargo is facing federal embezzlement charges. Carly Anne Tufte is accused of charging roughly 640-thousand dollars to unauthorized credit cards she opened in the name of Faith Journey Lutheran Church. In the indictment, Tufte is accused of paying off the balances with money from the church’s general fund. She’s also accused of paying her rent with a church debit card. Tufte is accused of making the purchases between April 2019 to December 2024.
