Family Files Wrongful Death Suit For $150M

(Yankton Reservation, SD) — A federal lawsuit is putting blaming the death of Zander Zephier on U.S. Marshals. The suit is claiming 150-million dollars for Zephier’s estate. Zephier’s death certificate states he died from a gunshot wound to the head and also suffered wounds to his arm, chest and back. Documents say Zephier was killed in his grandmother’s basement with five-to-seven U.S. Marshals and two FBI agents on the scene. U.S. Marshals say Zander was shot twice but his family and the funeral director say there were more than two gunshot wounds. Zander was wanted after failing to return to jail after being granted permission to leave for his uncle’s funeral.
