(Pierre, SD) — Governor Larry Rhoden says he expects the state to win an abortion advertisement case. The case is against Mayday Health for advertising abortion pills across the state. The state says the ads promote a product that is illegal in the state, while Mayday is saying the advertising is protected speech. Attorney General Marty Jackley is representing the state in the case and was in New York last month for litigation. Jackley argued that the case should be heard in South Dakota courts for proper application of state law.
