Jeremy Taylor Deemed Risk To The Public, Denied Work Release

(Pennington County, SD) — The man who sparked a days-long manhunt in the Black Hills will remain in custody. Jeremy Taylor requested a judge release him from with an ankle monitor so he could continue working. The request was denied by the judge who said Taylor was a risk to the public. Taylor is accused of eluding and simple assault on a law enforcement officer, sparking a manhunt after he was last seen heading into the woods with an AR-15 rifle. He is also wanted in Ohio for an alleged sexual misconduct charge.
