(Turtle Mountain, ND) — An officer is facing litigation for shooting a man dead in Turtle Mountain in 2024. The wrongful death lawsuit also names the Department of Interior, Bureau of Indian Affairs and Office of Justice Services as defendants. Officer Evan Parisien allegedly found Jordan Parisien’s car in a ditch after 9-1-1 callers said he was suicidal, driving erratically and armed. It is believed the officer shot Jordan multiple times in the head, chest and back and the incident was captured in a now viral video. It’s the second wrongful death lawsuit filed against Officer Parisien in the incident.
