(Sioux Falls, SD) — Longtime Democrat Dan Ahlers is running for governor in South Dakota. He’s set to announce the launch of his campaign on Tuesday at the Sioux Falls Downtown Library. Ahlers has been working as the executive director for the South Dakota Democratic Party but is also a former state lawmaker. He was a candidate for Senate in 2020 before losing to Mike Rounds. Ahlers must gather one-thousand-232 signatures from registered Democrats by March 31st in order to have his name on the ballot.
