court news

(Fargo, ND) — The man who escaped from prison after causing a SWAT situation is pleading guilty to more charges. Authorities say since Trevor Nelson ran away from a half-way house three months ago, he’s racked up seven new felony charges and two vehicle thefts. Nelson was serving a three-year sentence for theft and probation violations when he ran away from the Adult Transition Program at Centre Inc. He was originally charged for stealing a pickup truck in Moorhead and a car from a U-Haul before barricading himself in a hotel room at Best Western Kelly Inn. Officers found him hiding in the hotel room ceiling.
