(Bismarck, ND) — The ND250 Commission is awarding the Turtle Mountain Tribe a grant for a historical exhibit. The tribe was awarded nine thousand dollars to build the exhibit to interpret treaty-making, land negotiations, federal policy and cultural traditions. ND250 has awarded 15 grants totaling more than 90-thousand dollars to promote the upcoming 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. Additional grants went to projects in Bismarck, Mandan, Dickinson, Fargo, Beach, Grand Forks and Jamestown. Grant applications remain open through April 1st.
