(Bismarck, ND) — Unseasonably warm temperatures have North Dakota farmers worried about spring planting. Farmers are concerned about soil moisture levels and the soil structure, which could be at risk of fungal and bacterial infections. An AG and Natural Resources Extension Agent says the most important thing to watch is soil temperature to ensure the ground is thawing or is thawed before planting begins. They add its too early to tell how planting season will go.
