(Custer, SD) — The Grey Rock Fire is up to 58 acres just outside of Custer. Officials say the fire is 75-percent contained as of Monday evening. For some residents in Custer, smoke could be seen very close to homes in the area. The fire started just one day after the Silver Mountain Fire was fully contained. The southern Black Hills area is currently under a red flag warning, which has made fighting the flames more difficult than normal circumstances.
