(Minot, ND) — The Minot International Airport is opening a new Military Welcome Center. The city’s air force base is home to a vast amount of first-term airmen and the welcome center is set to help them connect to the city right when they land. Senator John Hoeven was there to open the new center, calling it, “the front door to Minot.” Funding for the project came from donations by local businesses and the local chamber. Active-duty service members, veterans and their families can all use the welcome center during regular airport hours.
