(Mandan, ND) — The Public Service Commission is exploring an application to build a wind farm in Morton County. The commission announced the application submitted by Longspur Wind Farm was complete as of Wednesday. It allows the commission to start more research and ask about details of the project. The farm would feature 45 turbines, generating more than 200 megawatts of power near Glen Ulin along State Highway 49. It would be built by Minnesota Power and the organization would also seek a permit to build a transmission line to connect the farm to a substation in Mercer County.
