(West Fargo, ND) — Mayor Bernie Dardis says he’s not launching another campaign for mayor. He has been mayor of the town since 2018. In a statement, he said that serving as a commissioner and mayor, “has been a great honor and privilege.” City Commissioner Eric Gjerdevig subsequently announced a campaign for the position. Gjerdevig served on the city commission from 2018-to-2022 but choose not to seek reelection after the 2022 term ended.
