Fargo Human Rights Commission Asks For Extension

Fargo

(Fargo, ND) — The Fargo Human Rights Commission is asking for a two-month extension to continue their work. The commission voted five-to-one on Thursday to ask for the extension that would need approval from the City Commission. They will decide on March 2nd whether or not to approve the request or dissolve the commission. The City Commission previously voted on January 5th to dissolve the Human Rights, Native American and Arts and Culture commissions if they couldn’t come up with plans to continue work with reduced staff. The city voted on Tuesday to keep the Arts and Culture Commission after they came up with a consolidation plan.
