(Bismarck, ND) — Xcel Energy is looking to hike rates for natural gas customers again. The company filed an eleven-point-96 percent rate increase request with the North Dakota Public Service Commission. It equals about ten dollars and 15 cents per customer. Xcel says it reflects the improvements the company has made to keep its natural gas system safe and ready for the future. The commission is waiting for the results of hearings on the matter before making a final decision.
