(Vermillion, SD) — A bomb threat at the University of South Dakota is being deemed a “swatting” call. Authorities have determined it was a false emergency and there was no threat to the campus. The threat was called into the Clay Area Emergency Services on Saturday evening. A response was coordinated with the Vermillion Police Department and state and federal law enforcement. Those with information on the case are asked to contact the South Dakota Police Department.
