(Bismarck, ND) — The Democratic-NPL Party is seeing an uptick in candidates across the state this election cycle. Twelve Democrats have received endorsements for seats in the state legislature this month. It’s the most for the party since 2016 when eleven candidates were endorsed. Republicans hold a supermajority with a 42-to-five advantage in the Senate and 83-to-eleven advantage in the House. Democrats have candidates in all regional districts this year except for one.
