(Bismarck, ND) — Officials with the Department of Mineral Resources say oil and gas production dropped in December. The state produced about one-point-twelve million barrels a day, which was the lowest monthly total in the calendar year for 2025. Department Director Nathan Anderson says the drop was because of subzero temperatures and low oil prices. He adds that it could be a couple of months before the Bakken sees a rebound.
