(Minot, ND) — The North Dakota State Water Commission is approving more than 100-million dollars in project funding. The Mouse River Flood Protection Project is receiving 81-point-one million dollars of the 100-million to complete it by 2027. A project administrator says the project is about halfway done and 40-percent funded. It’s designed to protect homes and businesses near the Mouse River in Minot and has already received more than 389-million dollars in financing. The latest round of money will go to buy land for the final phases of the project.
