(Sioux Falls, SD) — Jurors got to see surveillance video in the Eighth Street bridge murder trial on Tuesday. Jubal Rattler is accused of killing 39-year-old Doris High Elk by pushing her off a ledge near the bridge on June 30th, 2025. The video is darkened by shadows but prosecutors say it shows Rattler shoving High Elk from the ledge. It doesn’t show her make impact with the ground. The defense argued that the case was a “tragic accident” and all parties had been “heavily drinking.” The trial is scheduled to continue on Wednesday.
