(Burleigh County, ND) — Two new candidates are running for three open Burleigh County Commission seats. Mike Manstrom of Colliers Securities and current Burleigh County Auditor Mark Splonskowski are running for seats. Manstrom has managed municipal bonds for Bismarck, the park district and other municipalities for decades. Splonskowski, despite currently holding an office in the city, was previously accused of improperly investing millions of dollars in county funds as treasurer. North Dakota Women’s Business Center Program manager Mark Wagner and small business owner Kay LaCoe have already announced bids for a seat on the commission.
