(Pierre, SD) — The state Senate is pushing a bill to allocate 10-million dollars to water quality improvement. The bill would designate eight-million for water quality initiatives from landowners and another two million to improve local water wastewater and storm water systems. It passed 28-to-five in the chamber. Farmers would be able to earn incentive payments through the program. The bill is sponsored by Sioux Falls Senator Chris Karr.
