(Kenmare, ND) — The state is working with cities to identify and replace lead pipes. Projections say nearly five-thousand homes in the state may have lead running through their waterlines. The city of Kenmare is working to identify those pipes and has already discovered 32 lines that need to be replaced. They are still working to identify 286 pipes throughout the city. While none of the 32 pipes have been replaced yet, city officials say the water is still safe.
