(Rapid City, SD) — A man is suffering from injuries after being shot while forcing himself into a home. The intruder was shot by the owner of the home who was woken up when he heard loud noises from the man trying to break through the window. Police say the intruder had mistaken the house for an acquaintance who lived next door. Charges are pending against the intruder while police say the shooting was a justified home defense.
