(Watertown, SD) — Watertown City Councilman Kyle Peters is facing a lawsuit from his former company. Peters is the son-in-law of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem. A1 Development claims Peters and a business partner stole clients from the company while Peters was still employed. A1 is seeking compensatory and punitive damages and demanded a jury trial. They claim Peters’ actions were, “fraudulent and intentional.” A1 is currently in the process of coordinating a proposed data center west of Brandon.
