Apartment Complex Gets 5-Year Tax Exemption

(Fargo, ND) — A downtown Fargo apartment complex is getting a shorter tax exemption than they initially requested. The new build is expected to cost 93-point-seven million dollars. The city commission voted three-to-two to grant the Central at the Horizon a five-year tax exemption worth one-point-66 million. Developers plan to start work on the five-story building in the coming weeks and hope to open it up in 2028. They had initially requested a 15-year exemption but that was rejected by both the Cass County Commission and the Fargo Public School Board.
