Bill To Criminalize AI-Generated Porn Returns To Senate

(Pierre, SD) — A bill to criminalize AI-generated porn is heading back to the Senate after a new House amendment. The bill cleared the House in a 60-to-six vote on Tuesday after lawmakers changed it to apply to specific instances of harassment, threats or other damages. The bill would now only apply if the person intentionally creates the images for such circumstances. The bill would make the crime a class five felony with a punishment up to five years in prison and a ten-thousand-dollar fine. The bill originated in the Senate and passed but now senators must decide if they support the changes.
