Ellsworth Air Force Base Involved In Strikes On Iran

(Rapid City, SD) — U.S. Central Command says B1 bombers from Ellsworth Air Force Base were involved in attacks on Iran. Fox News reports that the B1s flew nonstop for 34 hours out of the Ellsworth base with more than 75-thousand pounds of munitions. Governor Larry Rhoden said on social media they, “were a key part of making Operation Epic Fury successful.” Rep. Dusty Johnson added, “South Dakota is proud to be the home of these B1 bombers at Ellsworth.” Senate Majority Leader John Thune also expressed support for the U.S. operation in Iran and said he did not believe congressional approval was needed for the attacks.
