Former Game And Fish Director’s Plea Deal Rejected

(Mandan, ND) — The plea deal in former Game and Fish Director Terry Steinwand’s child sex case is being rejected. The 72-year-old is charged with gross sexual imposition for allegedly touching a child inappropriately. A county judge rejected a plea deal on Wednesday. The deal would have allowed Steinwand to face a sentence of two years supervised probation and no contact with the victim. The judge told both parties they have two weeks to come up with an amended deal that requires more sex offender treatment for Steinwand.
