(Bismarck, ND) — Bismarck State College is preparing for the state Democratic-NPL Party Convention on Saturday. Federal and statewide candidates will be endorsed as the party hopes to put a dent in Republican dominance in the red-leaning state. The convention officially runs Friday through Saturday but organizers say all official business will take place on Saturday. Among the expected highlights, the party will endorse one of three candidates to run against incumbent Representative Julie Fedorchak for a seat in the U.S. House. The three candidates are Trygve Hammer, Vern Thompson and Helen Neville.
