(SIOUX FALLS) — In the Women’s Summit League tournament, No. 3 seed South Dakota knocked out No. 6 seed Denver on Friday thanks to a 61-50 victory in Friday’s second quarterfinal. Senior Angelina Robles led the Coyotes in scoring with 21 points, while Patience Williams added 16 in a game USD never trailed after the first quarter.
No. 3 seed South Dakota will play No. 2 seed South Dakota State in Saturday’s second women’s semifinal at 2:30 p.m. CT. No. 1 seed North Dakota State, after an 87-37 victory over Omaha on Thursday, will take on No. 5 seed St. Thomas who put away No. 4 seed Oral Roberts in Friday’s opening quarterfinal. That game is early this afternoon in Sioux Falls.
