(Valley City, ND) — A Jamestown woman is dead following a single vehicle crash on Interstate 94 in Barnes County. The crash took place Sunday morning, where a 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee was traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes of I-94. At mile marker 298, the vehicle departed the roadway and struck a bridge support on the north side of the roadway.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, without wearing a seat belt at the time. The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota State Patrol.
