Montana Reports First Measles Case Of 2026

(Helena, MT) — Health officials are confirming Montana’s first measles case of the year. The case was confirmed in Blaine County. The Fort Belknap Tribal Health Department says the patient acquired the virus while traveling out of state and is now isolating at home. Montana has had 36 confirmed measles cases since April of last year. The deadly and highly contagious disease was once considered eradicated in the U.S.
