(Minot, ND) — North Dakota Republicans are making the unprecedented move of skipping the GOP convention this year. They are hoping to follow the model of Rep. Julie Fedorchak who withdrew from the GOP convention two years ago and still won the primary. Fedorchak received an endorsement from President Trump in August for reelection. Former NDGOP State Party Chair Bob Harms said it will be the first time in 40 years that no Republican incumbents will try for the party’s endorsement at the annual convention. The convention is scheduled for March 28th and 29th in Minot.
